CONSTITUTION

 

 

ARTICLE I. NAME AND DURATION

 

Section 1. The name of this organization shall be Colorado Hawks Soccer Club, hereinafter referred to as CHSC, or the Club. CHSC is a non-profit organization and existing under the laws of the State of Colorado.

 

Section 2. The duration of CHSC shall be perpetual.

 

 

ARTICLE II. PURPOSES AND OBJECTIVES

 

Section 1. The purposes of CHSC are educational, and include the following:

 

A. To create a love for the game of soccer among our youth.

B. To teach, train, and develop soccer players, coaches, and

administrators.

C. To teach and develop through the game of soccer, sportsmanship, physical

health, mental alertness, and fair competition.

 

Section 2. The Objectives of CHSC are:

 

A. To develop, promote, and govern the game of soccer among affiliated teams

within the CHSC.

B. To establish an administration to govern and direct the functions, operations,

business, and all activities of this club.

C. To encourage interested volunteer adult leadership to share their time and

effort in behalf of the program, and to offer training in this regard.

D. To provide a vehicle through which players and their parents may expand

their education and knowledge of the game and soccer beyond that which each

might do individually.

E. To provide well-organized, competitive athletics, helping to develop the

physical, emotional, and social stability of the players participating.

F. To enforce uniform Rules and Regulations for Youth Soccer competition in

this club, giving full recognition to and being in accordance with the rules of

Colorado Youth Soccer and the principles set forth by F.I.F.A.

 

 

ARTICLE III. ASSOCIATION COLORS

 

The designated colors of CHSC are red, white, and black.

 

 

ARTICLE IV. JURISDICTION

 

The CHSC shall have jurisdiction over all its member teams, players, coaches, and all

youth and adult associated individuals within the boundaries of the club.

 

ARTICLE V. AFFILIATION

 

The CHSC shall be affiliated with Colorado Youth Soccer (CYS).

 

ARTICLE VI. FINANCIAL POLICY

 

Section 1. The CHSC is and shall be a non-profit organization.

Section 2. The CHSC non-profit status (registered charitable organization) will be

maintained with the State of Colorado and the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. Governing documents must be kept current with the Corporations Division.

 

ARTICLE VII. ADMINISTRATION

 

Section 1. The governing authority of the CHSC shall be vested with the Board of

Directors.

Section 2. The Board of Directors shall be composed of the Executive board and the

Team Representatives.

Section 3. The Executive Board consists of the elected officers of the CHSC. These

shall be: President, First Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President

Section 4. The Team Representative is the coach of each team or his alternate designated

by him in writing.

Section 5. The CHSC shall be administered according to its Constitution, Bylaws, and

Rules and Regulations.

 

ARTICLE VIII. ADMINISTRATIVE AUTHORITYS

 

Section 1. The CHSC Executive Board and the Board of Directors shall be governed by

its Constitution and Bylaws, except when those of CYS supersede these.

Section 2. The CHSC Executive Board and the Board of Directors shall have the

authority to issue policies or instructions necessary to interpret, clarify, or further define its Constitution, Bylaws, and Rules and Regulations.

 

ARTICLE IX. MEMBERSHIP

 

The membership of the CHSC shall consist of Teams engaged in Youth Soccer within the jurisdiction of the CHSC, which agree to be bound by the CHSC Constitution, Bylaws, and Rules and Regulations of the CHSC, which shall be admitted to membership in accordance with the Bylaws of the CHSC.

 

 

ARTICLE X. MEETINGS

 

Section 1. The Annual General Membership Meeting (AGMM) of the CHSC shall be

held for the primary purpose of electing the Executive Board.

A. The secondary purpose is to consider amendments to the Constitution.

B. Other business of the CHSC may also be conducted at the AGMM.

Section 2. Meetings of the Board of Directors and the Executive Board are considered

business meetings and shall be called as defined in the Bylaws.
